Making this Air Fryer Turkey Breast will make the holidays SIMPLE!!! And – making it in the air fryer means it’s quick too – half the time of making it in the oven! My favorite part of this recipe is the aroma!! When you crack open those spices – it just smells like a holiday dinner!

Air Fryer Turkey Breast with apple & sage

Does the thought of making a holiday dinner stress you out? It does me!! Even with just a small dinner I wonder how I’m going to get it all done. This recipe helps so much because it goes together in five minutes and then – in the air fryer – done!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Turkey Breast

I love making this recipe year after year because it’s so simple – other than the turkey – everything is already in your kitchen. So here’s what you need:

  • 3 lb turkey breast – for this recipe – mainly because of the size of an air fryer – I use the boneless skinless turkey breast roast. You can use any turkey breast for this recipe – even a turkey tenderloin – depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Ooh – this turkey breast also comes with a packet of ready-made gravy – it was really good!
  • Seasonings: all the Thanksgiving seasonings! Sage, Rosemary, Thyme – plus onion powder, salt & pepper
  • Apple – you just need one apple – I like to get something like a Gala – juicy & sweet
  • Butter

How to Make Turkey Breast with apple & sage

Another reason I love this recipe – is because you can make it in the air fryer or the oven – heck even on the grill! (Times are different based on cooking method) Here’s how you make it:

  • Preheat air fryer to 325 & spray a casserole dish with nonstick spray
  • Mix all the seasonings together in a bowl
  • If your turkey breast has a netting over it (the one I bought did) – remove the netting – it might loosen up a little – but it’s easier to take the netting off before you cook it
  • Rub the seasoning all over the entire turkey breast
  • Dot butter all over turkey – push it into cracks & crevices as well
  • Place apple slices on, in and around turkey breast
  • Place casserole dish into air fryer
  • Air fry for 45 minutes (15 min/pound) – temp check and remove at 155-160 and let rest for 5-10 min
    • If making in oven – it’s 30 min/pound

    1. I hope u tested it before making it for the 1st time on Thanksgiving.
How did it turn out for u? I’m curious bc I love my air fryer, but I wouldn’t trust it for a Thanksgiving food component without testing the recipe 1st. 😬

  1. 5 stars
I just got an airfryer. In fact it’s still in the box! I’ve been searching for ways to use it for the holidays. This turkey breast recipe sounds just the thing! Love the addition of apples!

  2. 5 stars
This turkey breast is so tender and juicy. It’s perfect for Thanksgiving and the holiday season. The apple and herbs compliment each other so well.

    1. Finally, someone who actually made the recipe without rating it 5 stars, having never made or tasted it before…
People look at ratings when considering a recipe (well, I do, and I can’t speak for anyone else), so the stars matter.
This isn’t a criticism of the blogger bc no one can control recipe comments or ratings.
I do, however, wish people (mainly fellow “bloggers” who rate a recipe with 5 stars) would only rate recipes after they’ve actually made them. Therefore, those of us looking for something reliable know it’s good before we spend money on something that hasn’t actually been made by anyone other than the recipe poster themselves.
I would love to try this, esp as someone who Cooks for a small household. Ty for posting!
