What You Will ❤️ About Air Fryer Chicken Wings
- 20 MINUTES and you’ll be noshing on those wings every game day!
- Flavor up! You can make them as garlic or cheesy as you like!
- Healthier! You’re not frying them in hot air instead of oil!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings
These Garlic Parmesan Wings only have 5 ingredients! Quick and easy is the name of the game!
- Raw Chicken Wings – If you’re using frozen wings, I would recommend thawing them for this recipe.
- Butter – salted or unsalted butter is fine for this
- Parmesan Cheese – strongly recommend using fresh Parmesan and grating it yourself – so much better than the pre-grated Parmesan!!!!
- Lemon – you’ll juice half the lemon and can squeeze the rest over the finished wings
- Garlic Salt – This is my favorite garlic salt because it also has little bits of parsley
- OPTIONAL – salt & pepper – because I’m using garlic salt – I didn’t add salt. If you use garlic powder, add 1/2 tsp salt as well. I’m also not a big fan of black pepper but if you are – add 1/2 tsp!

How to make Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Wings
Because these wings are done in 20 minutes – they are perfect for game day! You can make a batch and serve them and then throw another batch in the air fryer!
- Remove wings from package and rinse with water. Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, melt butter in microwave for 1 minute (cover with Glad Press ‘n Seal to keep it from splattering). Remove from microwave and stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice and garlic salt
- In a large bowl, toss wings in garlic parmesan sauce mixture
- Place wings in a single layer in air fryer basket (recommend using a parchment liner for easy cleanup)
- Air Fry at 350º for 11 minutes (No need to preheat!)
- Open Air Fryer – flip all wings in the basket
- Raise temperature to 400º and air fry 11 min more. You can check them with a meat thermometer in the meaty part of one of the drumettes to be sure they are 165º.
- Remove from air fryer with tongs and garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese (or you can always have blue cheese or ranch dressing too!)

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
I like to use thawed wings and toss them in seasoning/sauce/marinade and then fry away! You really can’t screw them up – that’s why it’s so great!
If you want to make them crispier, toss in baking powder before adding seasoning.
Yes because you’re not deep frying them!
Yes!!! I’ve got two recipes for Air Fryer Chicken Wings and neither uses flour. My other recipe is for Extra Crispy chicken wings and does have a breading – but not any additional flour. This recipe has none!
Store leftover cooked wings in airtight containers and refrigerate up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 250º.

Recipe Variations
- Lemon Pepper Wings – swap out garlic salt for lemon pepper seasoning
- Dipping Sauce – make a double batch of the garlic parmesan sauce so you can use the extra for dipping!
- Buffalo Sauce – swap out the butter for Buffalo sauce to make a Buffalo Garlic Parmesan sauce! (There’s lots of butter in Buffalo wing sauce.)
- Frozen Wings – if you do have frozen wings – just air fry plain for 10 min – then take out and toss in butter sauce and air fry 10 minutes more.
- Crispy – toss the wings in a 2 tbsp baking powder before the garlic butter if you want them more crispy.
