Ingredients for Cheeseburger Fries

Look at that plate of amazingness! Crispy fries topped with chopped hamburger, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and Freddy’s Famous Fry Sauce!

  • frozen french fries – I used skinny fries but you can use whatever fried potatoes you have/like
  • ground beef – you only need 1/2 pound and can use ground turkey or ground pork
    • You could also use 2 frozen hamburger patties
  • American cheese – hear me out – American cheese is what’s on a cheeseburger – so be sure you use the real thing!!!
  • Freddy’s fry seasoning – you can get this in the restaurant as well – or just use Lawry’s seasoning salt
  • Cheeseburger Toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, dill pickles
  • Freddy’s Fry Sauce – you can buy this in the restaurant but I made my own!
    • Don’t have a special sauce? You can also give them a squeeze of ketchup, mustard and mayo!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs

What kind of fries should I use for cheese burger fries?

You can use whatever you like! I like skinny fries but crinkle fries would be great!

Can I use shredded cheddar cheese?

Sure! I just love American cheese. I still recommend melting it onto the hamburger so it really gets that cheeseburger feeling.

How do you store and reheat leftover cheeseburger fries?

Store leftovers in airtight containers and refrigerate up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer (if you have one) at 250º for 5 minutes. You’ll likely want to remove any lettuce on the fries before refrigerating.

Variations for Cheeseburger Fries

  • Healthier – Swap out and use ground turkey if you’re wanting to make it a little healthier.
  • Bacon – Nothing makes a cheeseburger better than bacon. Cook a few slices and crumble on top!
  • Spicy – Swap and use pepper jack cheese and add pickled jalapenos and a little sriracha for a spicy kick!
  • Cheese Sauce – looking for a cheese sauce instead? I have the best cheese sauce that would be delicious on these fries!
