Air Fryer Broccolini is my favorite vegetable to make. It’s tender and goes with everything! Salt, pepper and olive oil is all you need to make Broccolini perfection!

What You Will ❤️ About Broccolini
What is broccolini? Broccolini is a hybrid plant that is a cross between Broccoli & Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli or Chinese Kale) – its got longer, thinner stalks, looser and more delicate florets and is overall more tender.
- Tender! Broccolini, also called Baby Broccoli, is more tender than regular broccoli but with the same taste. You’ll want to eat the stalks on these!
- Perfect Side Dish – Broccolini has a mild flavor but it’s delicious and goes with chicken, pork or steak!
- Easy! All you have to do is trim the ends and you’re ready to go!

Ingredients to make Air Fryer Broccolini Recipe
Not much is needed for this easy air fryer broccolini recipe – all pantry staples. Here’s what you need:
- Broccolini or Baby Broccoli – unlike broccoli where you only really want the florets – the stalks on broccolini are tasty as well! Keep them long and just trim off the ends.
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
- Coarse Sea Salt & Black Pepper
- OPTIONAL: you could also add a light sprinkle of garlic powder or red pepper flakes

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Recipe Variations
- Breaded – use egg and panko breadcrumbs to bread veggies and spray with nonstick spray like these Cauliflower Buffalo Wings
- Dipped & Crunchy – dip your veggies lightly in Dijon mustard and then Parmesan cheese for a unique crunch like these Dijon Parmesan Potatoes
- Naked – or take a simpler approach and extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper like we are here

How to make Broccolini in the Air Fryer
This healthy side dish is super easy to make! The broccolini has a slightly crispy texture on the ends of the florets and I love it! Here’s what you do:
- Rinse broccolini and pat dry with a paper towel. Trim by cutting off the ends of the broccolini stems (about 1/2″) and removing any leaves.
- Add broccolini to a large bowl, then add olive oil, salt & pepper. Toss to coat.
- Add broccolini to the Air Fryer basket in a single layer. Close air fryer basket and air fry broccolini at 320º for 8 minutes.
- Remove from air fryer and serve with a little fresh Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of fresh lemon juice

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass storage ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheating in the microwave takes just 30 seconds or in the air fryer at 250º for 3 minutes if you want it to be more crisp.
Nope! Broccoli rabe looks similar but has more leaves that are edible and it’s more bitter in flavor. Broccolini has a milder flavor than rabe or traditional broccoli.
In the produce aisle – but you’ll likely need to be at a larger grocery store. You’re not going to find it at Aldi.
