How to make Sweet Potato Wedges in the Air Fryer
Air frying is such a simple way to make side dishes and – if your air fryer is big enough – you can make fries & a burger all at once! Here’s how to make wedges:
- Scrub sweet potatoes to remove excess dirt. Pat dry with paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the ends off each sweet potato and cut them into wedges. Combine salt, pepper and cinnamon to make a seasoning blend.
- Place wedges in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle oil over the wedges and toss to coat them. Sprinkle the spice mixture into the bowl and toss again to coat.
- Arrange sweet potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure that the wedges are not touching – you may need to cook them in more than one batch.
- Air fry the seasoned sweet potato wedges at 370º for 8 minute. Flip wedges and cook for another 4 minutes.
- Remove and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass storage ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheating is easy in the air fryer – cook at 250º for 3-4 minutes.
Nope – you don’t need to. I like the peel. But if you don’t – peeling the potatoes is fine!
