Ingredients for Honey Ham Sliders

I put all my favorite toppings into these slider sandwiches – after making my spiral ham – the leftovers were my starting point. Here’s what you need:

  • Kings Sweet Hawaiian Rolls – you can also use mini hamburger buns
  • Mayonnaise – I’m always a fan of Duke
  • Yellow mustard – feel free to swap with honey mustard if you like
  • Honey ham – this is a great use for leftover sliced ham but you can also use deli ham. I love the flavor of this Smoked Spiral Ham recipe I made a few days before!
  • Swiss cheese – ham & Swiss are always great – but cheddar or colby jack is good too
  • Dill pickles – if you like it spicy – swap with something zingier or pepperoncinis
  • Tomato slices – last round of tomatoes and I like the juiciness that it adds
  • Topping Sauce: Butter, Worcestershire sauce, Minced garlic

Recipe Variations

These sliders are perfect for tailgating, potlucks or just a quick dinner after work! Here are some changes you can make:

  • Butter Topping – you can also add in Dijon mustard, brown sugar and poppy seeds to the melted butter for topping the sliders.
  • Swap Cheese – Swiss is a classic but you can also use colby jack, pepper jack or cheddar cheese
  • Veggies – I added tomato slices, but you could also add sauteed mushrooms or onions
  • More Meat – add turkey & bacon for a club-style slider

How to make Hot Ham & Cheese Sliders

Sliders are so easy to make – slice the bread in half and go to town. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half and place the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Mix the mustard and mayo together in a small bowl and spread evenly over both sides of the rolls.
  4. Arrange the ham over the mayo. Next, add the slices of cheese evenly over the ham.
  5. Top with tomato and pickle slices. Then with the tops of the rolls.
  6. In a small bowl, melt butter, garlic and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Brush the melted butter mixture over roll tops
  8. Place baking pan in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until sandwiches are heated through and cheese is melted. Watch while baking – if the tops get a little too brown – cover with aluminum foil.
  9. Slice and serve!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs

How do you store and reheat leftover sliders?

Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer for 4-5 minutes or in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.

Can you make ham & cheese sliders without mustard?

Of course!!!! I used mayo & mustard but leave either/or out! It’s your sandwich!
