I’m always up for a big ass burger – and Sammy’s Craft Burgers & Beer in Blue Ash is the place to do it. I reviewed it back in 2010 – but that was forever ago – now I work about 3 minutes away and needed to revisit!
Sammy’s has been featured in many publications because their burgers are huge and very creative! They truly are CRAFT burgers. There are so many choices – but you can get a massive hot dog, chorizo mac & cheese or even a $9 Graeters Milk Shake! We were there for lunch so we burgered it up.
I went for The Ultimate ($16) which was coffee rubbed and topped with bourbon glazed slow cooked pork belly (instead of bacon), Gouda cheese, a gourmet mushroom blend, field greens and a chipotle mayo. It’s also served with a side of seasoned steak fries – which are REALLY good. I got a side of ranch and was pretty much in heaven.
The burger was complex and delicious. I’m not always a fan of pork belly but when it’s used as a bacon substitute – I can get down with it!
Timmy went for the Sammy’s burger ($13) which had Sammy’s sauce, a sunny-side up egg, bacon, Mozzarella, field greens and tomato. Eric got the burger in the first picture – which was the Classic ($11). Both guys were definitely pleased with my lunch choice and agreed that I had made a good choice. We all loved the cut of the seasoned steak fries – it’s a unique cut which gives you crispy and soft inside all at the same time.
Why Should You Go? Sammy’s has been open a while – but it’s still a great place to go for a great burger! They also have a location in Mason – but with this being 4 minutes from my work – I’m pretty sure I’ll be back!
I was just there with the same experience on the Ultimate burger. Happy I was finally able to taste it
That's awesome! It was a good big ol' messy burger – which I love! 🙂 Now if only Terry's was in Blue Ash! hahaha
