Whole Chicken In A Crock Pot
This is my go-to recipe for the crock pot and pretty much the only one I make monthly. Grab a chicken – rub it with spices – throw it in the slow cooker and let it go! That’s all there is to it! Then you can use the chicken for salads, soups and casseroles for the next week!

2 tsp coarse sea salt 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp thyme 1 tsp white pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 roasting chicken 1 cup onion roughly chopped into large chunks
Get Recipe Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the spices.

Remove any giblets from chicken and clean chicken.

Rub spice mixture onto the chicken.
Stuff onion in the chicken.

Put chicken in crock pot. No liquid is needed, the chicken will make its own juices.
Cook on low 4-8 hours.
